Sink strainers are not the most inspiring of kitchen items but a necessary evil. This is abolutely the best sink strainer I have ever bought! Catches all the sink salad but allows water through unlike other strainers, which redistribute the sink salad all round the sink. It is also resistant to staining by tea/coffee. 2 in a pack means that you always have one to use while you put the other one in the dishwasher. To top it all it is resonably priced!

A M A Z I N G. Don’t even think about it, just put in your cart and check out!! This sink drain strainer is a serious upgrade from the cheap looking mesh screen strainer I had before. I don’t have a garbage disposal and this strainer catches everything. Hold a lot and it’s super easy to clean. For someone reason, my photos won’t upload but it looks great, clean lines and modern looking. Best $7.99 I’ve ever spent on Amazon!!! You are going to love it, I promise!

Design, smoothness, quality. Great strainer. Highly recommend it because not only is it effective even for capturing small food bits, but that it empties and cleans so easily. I chose this specifically because the pictures showed little to no lip / edges adjoining the screening itself which have always proved troublesome for wiping out a wire screen type strainer. Not this one. Not only isn’t there an edge to catch food when wiping it out, but the perforated metal “screen” is very smooth and aides in wiping out the last little food bits that don’t release when dumping. Actual screen type strainers tend to grab onto some of the smaller food bits and sometimes require back flushing with water, or using an old toothbrush. And wiping out a screen type with a square of handy bathroom tissue tends to shred the tissue. This strainer doesn’t tear up a tissue when swiping out the last bits of food. We’re very pleased with this design and quality.

Best one yet. I have tried many sink catches and this is by far the best one. It’s a little more shallow than prior ones I’ve tried so the basket is wider and easier to see. The holes are perfectly sized such that water drains around caught food. Finally, the metal is superior to the silicone in the Oxo design in that the underside doesn’t get slimy. If you don’t have a garbage disposal or you just don’t want things going down the drain, I highly recommend this item.
