Solid lock with lots of features (updated 7/5/25). I purchased this to change the locks on our new home after closing, and installed it on June 30th.The installation was super simple – the instructions were clear, the included template was very helpful, and there were also video guides available as well if needed (although I didn’t need to use them).While the container/shell is made from a hard plastic, all of the moving parts and mechanisms are made of metal and are solid and durable. The lock feels extremely secure and reliable.The companion app that comes along with the lock is very well made, and while there are some weird translation issues (which is normal for products like these), everything works exactly as expected with no hiccups or bugs. There are TONS of features available – the lock is super customizable and everything can be managed from the app easily. New admins can be added very easily as well.In particular, I like that I can generate a new code on the door and set it to expire whenever, thus eliminating the need for hidden keys or anything like that. Whenever a handyman or friend/family member need to come by and we aren’t here, I can just make them a new code and set it to expire the next day and never have to worry about them getting back into the front door again.I also really like that there’s an auto-lock option – it’s a great way to have peace of mind that the front door is always locked. You can set it to 5/10/15/30 seconds, or choose “custom” and set it to whatever timeframe you want (in seconds). For us, we have a 10 minute auto-lock set, which means that even if we forget after going in and out over and over again (moving and whatnot), we know that the door will always be locked after ten minutes.The fingerprint setup is a breeze, the RFID reader works reliably, everything is great – if I had to point out any one con, it would be with the keypad screen – it’s kind of a pain to reliably wake up sometimes, and lags a bit when coming on. But that’s the only real downside we have been able to find with it. Other than that, this lock is awesome, feature rich, reliable and well built. Worth the money.PS: Also, Veise’s customer service is awesome. When I first got the lock, I realized that I only got 1 RFID scanner instead of 2, and after reaching out to them, they explained that other RFID cards can be used with the lock, and then refunded me back 30% of the total cost to cover the cost of purchasing new ones separately. All of this happened within 12 hours of me reaching out the first time. Nice job, Veise! :)== 2 YEARS LATER: UPDATE ==Over time, this lock has been OK, but it freaks out randomly every day at a random time, tries to lock/unlock the door repeatedly, and eventually beeps a bunch of times before going back to a locked state.We took this as just being kind of a quirk or whatever, but today, it freaked out continuously for about 30 minutes before it died. I replaced the batteries with new ones just in case, but no luck – more of the same behavior. The app still sees the lock there, the keypad still works fine, but the motor seems to be completely dead. I can’t remove the lock from the app either, the reset button doesn’t work, etc – the only way in and out now is with a physical key.I’ve emailed Veise customer support again for help with this, and am hoping for the same great support as I had early on – but only time will tell.I’ve knocked 2 stars off of this review for now because of the device malfunction, but will return them if/when I hear back from Veise’s support

Great lock, challenging app setup. Works great. Install was easy. This is the second one I have purchased. Once installed I had the same problem with the setup (open left/right) as I did on the first. I found there is a manual toggle switch on the inside part that I had to set the other direction than the factory setting on both to get it to work. At first the lock would only lock/unlock with the app and only lock using other methods. After waiting a few minutes and toggling the manual switch, the other methods, code, fingerprint and key fob worked. Not sure exactly what was going on, but I spent most of the install time getting it to work with the left/right settings via the toggle switch and app settings. Once I got it set, it works great.The app is mainly for setup but it could be improved. For example, it doesn’t tell you if the door is locked or unlock. It just gives you an icon to lock/unlock. The history “record” doesn’t include manual lock/unlock so you can’t check it to see if it was locked. I know they sell a hub which might give status. The lock itself doesn’t connect to your internet so you can only use the lock app when nearby with your phone unless you have the hub (assuming as I don’t have the hub).

Easy to use. Very happy with this lock. It was easy to install and set up. There are so many choices of how to unlock it. Each person can use their own way whether it’s finger print or fob or code. The lock is automatic when you trigger it. My last one was code then manually turn it, hated that.I love that all codes can be monitored and changed by the app.

I measured to make sure it was a good fit, so install was incredibly quick and easy. So far I have only had to install, so I can’t speak to long term use. However, the install process took me about 15 minutes. I made sure my door was compatible and the video instructions helped with seamless install. Quick, easy, very cool functions- I hope this lasts because I love what I see so far!
