The Cats Love It. The best part is that our cats love it. The problem is that the chute for the dirty litter and poop isn’t very big so our clumping clay litter got stuck in the chute. We’re doing better this week by having more litter in there, delaying cleaning after it’s used to 5 minutes so that clumps can dry and solidify and we have it do a double cleaning each cycle. The weight feature is great because one cat is a little overweight and the other is underweight so I can keep an eye on their weight without taking them to the vet for weigh-ins. Their support team was very helpful when we were having dumping issues and their solutions worked. So all in all, it’s very good. Also, in our experience, the disposal bags need to be changed every 5 days with 2 cats, not quite as long as I would like but ok.We also have a Litter-Robot 3. It’s easier to use with a large chute and big drawer but only one cat was willing to use it and only occasionally. Not sure why given that we have the same litter in both. I’m hypothesizing that the PetKit 2 opening is more like the traditional litter boxes and there’s a bit more privacy. Otherwise, it’s a mystery-and my cats aren’t telling me why they like the PetKit 2 better.

Took a while to purchase this due to the price, but I am so glad I did. I hate cleaning up cat poop every day and I hated the smell, this cat tray does it all and I am so glad I purchased it.If the cat has a runny poop, then it can spread at the back of the machine, but this doesn’t happen often (and requires a wipe) and it seems to be only thing I can pick. I have only had it a couple of weeks, but i’m loving it.

Couple months of use now, works like a champ. It works great. The waste bin fills kind of quick though but we do have two cats using it and its set to cover the little and run twice. So individual use on that front might be different for most. We’ve noticed no bad smells coming from this unit.Cat was terrified of it for awhile. I covered the little screen and that seemed to get her to go nearer the unit. She’s still a little iffy on it from time to time.The weight indicator isn’t accurate 100% of the time, maybe 90% of the time. The weight it shows when correct is pretty close to accurate for my cats.

So far so good. Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have only had it for about a week or so. I also have a litter robot, that was $300 more than this. The Petkit 2 automatic litter box was not only much less expensive it’s 100x less quiet, you can barley hear it even when your right next to it. The app is good, tells you when and which cat goes pody and keeps track of their weight. Obviously you have to manually put in your cats name and weight, and their picture is optional. Far less bulky than the litter robot, saving on limited space that I have. Very happy so far and unless something changes in the immediate future with this product, I would definatley recommend over the litter robot any day for better price, better size, better app options, much quieter and has a better size/shape tray that the dirty litter goes to and bags that have drawstrings. 5⭐️

I had high hopes for the PETKIT PuraMax 2 but it has been nothing short of a disappointment. The main issue is that the sensor is constantly triggered even when no one (cat or human) is anywhere near the unit. This means the litter box thinks it is occupied or unsafe to operate so it just sits there doing nothing when it should be cleaning.I have tried adjusting its position checking for obstructions and ensuring the environment is as recommended. None of it helped. For such an expensive and supposedly smart product the performance is extremely frustrating. I end up cleaning the litter manually most of the time which defeats the purpose of having an automatic litter box.On top of that the interface and controls are clunky and the troubleshooting instructions offer little help. I honestly regret this purchase and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable automatic litter solution.

Great Automatic Litter Box. We have had this for 6 months and it is a great automated litter box. It works well and is consistent. It also has nice features. As our cat is one of those who scratches everywhere except where she needs to in order to cover her poo. This litter box has a feature for that built into the settings as an option. So when you select that option, after the cat does their business, the box gently rocks back and forth and actually covers the poo for the cat! Once it does the rocking bit, it completes the clean cycle and dumps the waste into the bin.For our cat, we have to change out the collection bag about once a week, and about every two weeks I need to clean the drum. The reality is that while I think this helps and is a great step-up from regular litter boxes, none of them completely eliminate maintenance. The only difficulty in cleaning this unit is the drum is large, but I see large drums on every automatic cat box. The drum is not heavy, but if you want to wash it you will need to place it in a tub or take it outside. Most of the time all I need to do is use Clorox sanitary wipes, I’ve only had to actually wash it once.

Honestamente la mejor compra que he realizado. Tengo 5 gatos y esta es una excelente caja de arena automática.Te permite ingresar a tus mascotas en la aplicación y colocar sus pesos para poder identificar que mascota ingresa, se confunde si hay varias mascotas con un peso similiar pero igual es muy útil.Te avisa cuando la funda está llena y necesita cambio.El desodorizante funciona bien y huele rico, sin embargo se gasta rápido (1 mes aprox con muchos gatos).Retiene mucho en olor, no te das cuenta que hay una funda con popó de varios días ahí dentro.La limpieza es sencilla y basta con una buena lavada al mes para que se mantenga aseada. Solo me arrepiento de no haber comprado el modelo que tenía la cámara.
